The Kāpiti Community Recreational Turf Trust is a registered charitable trust dedicated to providing high-quality sporting and recreational facilities for our community.
From local schools and sporting clubs to community groups and regional events, our all-weather turf and community pavilion help bring people together, encourage active lifestyles, and create opportunities for everyone to participate.

OUR MISSION
Investing in Community, Not Profit
Since being established in 2004, the Kāpiti Community Recreational Turf Trust has worked to create and maintain a world-class sporting facility that benefits the entire Kāpiti Coast.
As a registered charity, our purpose is simple:
To provide accessible, high-quality sporting and recreational facilities that encourage participation, promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen our community.
Unlike privately owned venues, every dollar generated through turf bookings, pavilion bookings, sponsorship and fundraising is reinvested back into operating, maintaining and improving the facility for future generations. The Trust was established specifically to own and manage this community facility for the public benefit.
Supporting Thousands of Community Participants Every Year
The Kāpiti Sports Turf is much more than a sports venue.
It is a community hub used by local schools, sports clubs, community organisations and regional competitions throughout the year.
In 2025 alone:
Hosted 135 Wellington Hockey Association competition games
Provided 401 hours of turf use for Kāpiti Coast Hockey Club
Supported 241 hours of use by local schools
Opened the pavilion for more than 100 days during community competitions and events
